Dear friends,
I cannot believe it has been over a year since my last update here, and I am grateful for all of your patience.
In fact, much has happened in the past year. Above all, we have two wonderful pieces of news to share with you all.
First and foremost: On the 25th of Adar this year, our family was blessed with the arrival a beautiful baby boy. We named him Moshe for Moshe Rabbeinu, and just like his namesake, he filled our home with light from the moment he was born. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for him, for his perfect health, and for the good health of the rest of the family – blessings that we will never take for granted.
Life with eight kids has been a hectic journey, which I could not imagine doing without my incredible husband at my side. It takes lots of energy to raise a houseful of children, and lots of work keeping things positive, but when we do, it is beyond rewarding.
Of course, it hasn’t left time for much else, including writing, but as my baby nears six months, I hope to get back to it soon. These days, with my older kids nearing the preteen stage, my thoughts are focused on the education aspect of parenting more than anything else. There is much to unpack and understand, and I hope to share my thoughts on that here soon.
I will emphasize that where I am today is only possible building on my earlier journey. I have truly embraced the importance and value of raising a large family, of each and every child that Hashem chose to send me – even to the exclusion of many other worthy endeavors. And being able to refer back to those thoughts expressed in writing is essential to maintaining peace within the constantly whirring thoughts in my mind.
Which leads me to the second piece of amazing news: The Gift of Children has been reviewed, edited, typeset, and designed and is now ready to be sent to the printer! I am so excited to have a little paperback book right on hand to pull out when I need that burst of chizzuk in this journey we call life.
I want to thank all of you who donated so generously to enable us to get to this point.
We now need to raise the remaining amount ($10K) to cover printing costs and finally get the book out in stores, Amazon, and wherever Jewish books are sold!
I’ve created a GoFundMe page so we can all take part and watch this actually happen:

Every donation shows your support! Please consider even something small to be a part of this amazing project <3
Or if you prefer, we also have these quick cash options:
Zelle: giftofchildren@gmail.com
Cashapp: $yakovraskin
*I will be sending out a complimentary signed copy of the book to all donors over $500 so you will be the first to receive it. If you already gave, I have you covered, and feel free to send me your address (otherwise I will reach out when sending them out.)
Always grateful for your support, in whichever form it takes,
<3 Chaya
